Preaching Calendar
An annual preaching calendar to help you cover biblical essentials, spiritual disciplines, and cultural topics.

Asking for a Friend
We all have questions that need answering. The problem is, they’re hard questions that many of our students don’t know how to answer! In this four-week series, we take four “hot topic” questions that students struggle to answer in their personal lives and biblically unpack them through God’s word.

Welcome Home
August is a time of fresh starts with students going back to school and new semesters beginning. Many students are eager to be back and are inviting friends. Students who haven’t been present in a while will show their faces again. It’s important that they are received by a loving family. In this series, we talk all about our spiritual home as believers and as the church. Foster an environment in this season that grounds students in the church as their spiritual home.

Get Wisdom
God’s word is full of wisdom. We hear words like knowledge, understanding, instruction, and think of “wisdom” in a very one-dimensional way. This series will dive deep into a robust understanding of what wisdom is and how we live in it! This series is strategically placed for the summer when the opportunities for bad decisions are more apparent. This is a great time to learn what Scripture says wisdom truly is.

W Friends
What is a true friend, or as the young people say, a “W” friend? The right kind of friends are special to the soul. Scripture has a lot to say about the kind of people we call friends. In this four-week series, we examine the qualities of biblical friendship and how we can choose the right people and be the right people!

Heaven Rules
In the beginning, God ruled and reigned over the Earth. When we sinned, we handed authority of the Earth to Satan. Jesus, on the cross, won back the authority and conquered death. Now, He will return to establish Heaven and Earth forever. In this four-week series, we will walk through how we lost Heaven and how Jesus won it back for us.

The Table
Thanksgiving is a season of unity, community, and fellowship. We center around the table — the place where we gather to enjoy each other. The concept of “the table” extends past a physical table to the church. We come to God’s table as a community of believers, bringing our authentic selves to receive all that God has for us. This four-week series explores the things we can bring to the table and what God has in store for us when we do!

Eras
We’ve all lived different eras of life — some good, some bad. Over time, we look back on our eras and see God’s faithfulness, even in our brokenness. In this four-week series, we look at each generation of the matriarchs of Israel in the book of Genesis, and examine how God was at work in their lives and how He similarly works in ours.

Fix Your Focus
Focus is an essential element of success. Our spiritual lives thrive when we are focused on the right things. When our focus is pointed in the wrong direction, we can quickly find ourselves in a negative situation. This four-week series is an exegetical journey through the first half of Colossians 3 on how we can fix our focus on the things of God, not on things of the earth.

Walls
In this series, we look at the story of Nehemiah and the broken walls of Jerusalem. We all have broken walls due to sin in our lives. God’s plan is for us to experience restoration as He finishes what He began in us. Regardless of how people come against us — God is in the process of rebuilding us from brokenness into fullness of life.

Cursed
The Halloween season is filled with spooky themes of curses. Not all curses, however, are fictional — there are real spiritual forces at work in our world. This four-week series takes a look at very real biblical curses in our world, and conversely, the blessings Jesus offers us to redeem these curses!

Bullies In My Brain
Students are desperate for a solution to anxiety. They have been beaten down by anxious thoughts and beliefs about their lives. Our culture attempts to offer solutions, but students are still looking for answers. Anxiety is a strong opposing force, but God has called us to overcome. This four-week series will biblically approach the bullies that cause anxiety in our students’ lives, how to stand up to them, and how to walk in the confidence of God’s call on their lives.

Abundant Life
An abundant life with Jesus may look different than what we expect! Laying down sin is an abundant life. Surrender is an abundant life. A life with Jesus is abundant, even in trials! In this three-week series, we will take a biblical look at how we can walk in abundant life and identify what will keep us from it.
